#74 – 5/29

Friday is the perfect day for a WOD named the “Filthy Fifty.” If you haven’t guessed it yet, each exercise consists of 50 reps for time. Ready to head into the weekend strong?!

  • 50 box jumps (chair or stairs work too)
  • 50 jumping pull-ups (try a table bodyweight row if you lack a pull-up bar or surface)
  • 50 kettlebell swings
  • 50 walking lunges
  • 50 knees-to-elbows
  • 50 weighted push presses
  • 50 back extensions
  • 50 wall balls
  • 50 burpees
  • 50 double unders (substitute jumping jacks or high knees)

Today’s tip to curb mindless eating is to increase the inconvenience of eating – meaning the more work you have to do to eat a food, the less likely you are to eat it! Increasing the distance between yourself and food as well as the number of barriers (i.e., a door and then a lid) gives a person more opportunity to reflect whether s/he truly wants the item. You can also accomplish this by establishing the table as the only place you will eat food, thus, you have to be seated and committed to eating and willing to sacrifice other activities. In this scenario, you make a conscious decision to eat and don’t do so out of boredom or distraction.
